JUGGLING AND ACROBATICS

The workshop
We will do some acrobatics, we will do some juggling (I will touch the world of functional juggling as brought alive by Craig Quat) and some exercises to awake our imagination. I hope it will help you broaden your skills as a professional and rethink about the possibilities the circus can give you in (performing) arts
Personally I would like try create a bit of physical play, but we have to see if we can break the joy of just learning new tricks.
Me
I juggle and I am a theatre maker and performer with a big heart for the open space. Because it redefines the spaces as we know them. It is always great to give a street, a building or a park a vivid memory of surprise. A beautiful danse near the water, Shakespeare from out of a window and a violin in a park.
Although I take my work very serious, I think it is remarkable how much time I wasted as a juggler on dropping things. On failing. That is why I am also pleased to get to know a bit more of clowning recently, where failing is actually a goal in itself. Because that is a start for play.
And we probably need more play in this world.
My work
I am still touring with my solo theatre performance The Little Prince and with a duo show called the Big Disullusion Show. I am also taking part in the performance Perky and Fiddle (about two extremely bored garden gnomes) created by my girlfriend Laura Stam with who we started the company SuperBammer.
In creating I recently started a new project inspired by the Alchemist from Paolo Coelho.
